At Applehills we are committed to providing the very best start in life for your children, our pupils. As Headteacher, I am passionate about developing good quality basic skills whilst fostering a confident, resilient and firm-rooted self-belief in all children. I am very clear about the role that the community plays in this and warmly welcome involvement from the parents and wider community.

Our drive is to ensure all children make progress, through providing opportunities for reflective teaching where creative first-hand experiences allow your children to develop as independent enquirers, who know why they are learning what they are learning; can communicate effectively allowing them to use this in future learning opportunities. Our main purpose each day is to facilitate engagement in, and for, learning and discovery, and, where possible, ensuring this happens collaboratively.
